These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by Slate ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

We provide a salon and spa management platform that includes online booking, appointment management, payment processing, client communications, and AI-powered customer support across multiple channels including SMS, email, Facebook Messenger, Instagram Direct Messages, and our website chat widget.

2. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.

3. Messaging Services

By messaging us through any communication channel (SMS, email, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, or our website chat), you consent to receiving automated responses from our AI assistant. You may request to speak with a human team member at any time. Standard messaging rates from your carrier may apply for SMS. You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.

4. Connected Messaging Channels

Connected messaging channels (Facebook, Instagram) may only be authorized by users who have appropriate admin rights to the relevant Page or Business assets. By connecting a messaging channel, you authorize us to send and receive messages on behalf of the connected business.

5. Payments

Payment processing is handled by third-party providers (Stripe, Helcim). By making a payment, you agree to their respective terms of service. All fees and pricing are as displayed at the time of booking or purchase.

6. Cancellation & Refund Policies

Cancellation and refund policies are set by each individual business using our platform. Please review the specific business's cancellation policy before booking. Cancellation fees may apply as specified by the business.

7. Memberships & Subscriptions

Membership terms, including billing frequency, cancellation procedures, and benefits, are as described at the time of enrollment. By enrolling, you authorize recurring charges as specified in the membership agreement.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our platform are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict of law principles.
